Concept and Task 9

CONCEPT - COMMON ERRORS

What are common errors in English?
As learners of English, we sometimes tend to slip by little and common grammar mistakes. Most of the times, especially when self-editing, we do not even realize that we are making these minor grammatical mistakes or slip-ups. Therefore, it's important for us to do some rechecks of the words, phrases, and sentences we write. Some of the easiest ways include checking dictionaries (online, offline, or printed) for the right spelling along with the appropriate use of meaning; asking friends and peers with knowledge of better spelling and vocabulary use to edit and proofread your write-up; reading grammar guides online/offline to know and understand the use of punctuation, and most certainly, practicing grammatical correctness as regularly as possible.

Here is a useful video providing tips on how to spot the error and write grammatically correct sentences.
