Concept and Task 2

CONCEPT - COMPOUND WORDS What do you understand by 'compound words'? Compounds are very common in language, especially in English. Going by its definition, a compound is a combination of two or more words with their independent meaning. When these words with their independent meaning are combined to form one new word, it is called a compound and it has its own meaning. For instance, Star + Fish = Starfish         Home + Work = Homework        Sales + Man = Salesman Watch the short video below to understand what a compound is. All you need to do is list down a few compounds from the video above and write your own lyrics to rap! Or even better - add some more compounds and create a video of your rap. Good luck! CONCEPT - STRONG WORK ETHICS What do you understand by 'work ethics'? Before you understand the meaning of the above term, you need to know the following terms: Morals: Morals are the standards or norms of what is right and/or what is wrong. Values:  Values are the sets of principles or morals. Ethics:  Ethics are the beliefs and standards of what is good and right for individual or society. Work ethics are the values we identify and determine for us in a workplace or professional environment. Good work ethics are required in order to build healthy relationships between employees and management/authority. Based on hard work and diligence, work ethics teach us how to observe, conduct, and accept what is right and/or wrong in a workplace.
